Our Story
Trish’s passion for sewing and design was evident as a young child when she displayed immense natural talent, skill, and creativity.
Her initial career goal was to study Medicine but this plan changed during her second year at Queen’s University when a roommate enrolled in Fashion Design inspired her to exchange her plan for her passion. She made the decision to switch and enroll in Fashion Design which she proudly graduated from with honours. Her natural skills and ability to transfer knowledge to others led her to a faculty position after graduation followed by employment experiences in different sectors and roles, both related and unrelated to design.
Over the years Trish has created clothing, costumes, formal wear, upholstery and home décor for herself and others as an interest. Ultimately, the dream always tugging at her heartstrings was to open her own design studio. The 2022 launch of Irish Rose Sewing Studio is the culmination of years of design projects and workplace experience combined with a fierce entrepreneurial spirit.
Trish is excited to continue serving existing clients and to welcoming new customers, all seeking her services to create beautiful, functional environments, both at home and in office settings. Trish stays current in her field through training and education and reading and studying everything fashion and design!
